I had the opportunity to attend Birth Day celebration of His Holiness BABA HARDEV SINGH JI. Many of the devotees presented gorgeous bouquets, glittering large greeting cards and gifts.I kept on pondering which gift Baba Ji may like and appreciate most.

When I could not get a reply from my grey matter, I heard Tring... Tring from my pocket. I took out my phone and I got reply from a number without any name.I did not check back who the sender was, since I knew it was the Omniscient replying my question. The message was

"ON THIS AUSPICIOUS DAY LET A DEDICATED DISCIPLE BORN IN EACH OF US"

May BABA JI bless us so that we could gift him such gifts of his liking.

Dhan Nirankar Ji,

On Sunday February 21, 2010, Florida saints celebrated Guru Puja Diwas in honor of His Holiness Baba Ji's birthday. This special event was held in a "Discussion" format instead of the routine "Traditional" format. Saints present for this sangat, spoke on the two assigned topics of: Love and The purpose of Birth. The sangat was held at Preet Ji's residence.

We all came to the conclusion that God is Love and Love is God. Some key points that were made during sangat were the following:

In the Quran it is said that, "God created us to test us, God created us with love, so in return we should do good to make him happy." We should always keep Nirankar with us and keep good intentions. We learnt that of all the different types of births there are in this world, being born as a human being is the best form of life, because the human form has knowledge and with knowledge we can have the capability of God-Realization. The most important value in life is love. Love is and should be selfless and unconditional. We know that it is easy to utter the words "I love you", saying it and meaning it are two different things. We can say I love you to a relative because we are related, but the ultimate way in realizing love and living a life of love is to love our enemies as well because that is the true essence of love. Love is forgiveness and patience, and is practiced through humility. If there is no love, then there is no kindness. If there is no kindness, then we forget to kindle the light of God within us. The feeling of love comes from our mind. If our mind belongs to Nirankar, then He will fill us with love. We must surrender ourselves and our minds and God will give us grace in return. Then, every moment is worth living because we will find love everywhere, and our world will be like heaven.

A beautiful example was given by a dear saint: There was a race going on and there were several participants in this race. While the race was going on, one of the participants fell. Seeing him fall, another participant stopped and turned back around to go help him and pick him up. Soon the other competitors realized that he had fallen and stopped to help the one that fell and then they all came and picked him up and finished the race together. The only difference with these participants and regular people was that they all had a mental disorder. So it's obvious that those that have a mental disorder use their hearts. We are all the children of the same God; we must practice peace, love and tolerance. We are looking for love and peace, and they both come from tolerance- if we overlook each others' shortcomings, then we can say that we all are the same because God created all of us.

Love yourself and know one God.

There was a bhajan (Prem ki ganga bahate chalo) that was sung by a dear saint that translated into; Light the lamp of your soul, and then light one-another with it. Should you ever meet on your path, those in pain or suffering, hug and envelope them with your perennial divine love. For those who are left alone and friendless, the only protector they have is the divine supreme consciousness, for those who are penniless, who are weak, those are the ones God provides extra love to. Go forth gathering the pearls/beads of love, go forth making the "Ganges of Love" (a mighty perennial river of love) flow, (When) Hopes shattered, (human) love turned sour (bad), the safe haven is left behind, please do not close the door on your mercy, give some support, Lighting the flame of kindness (in the hearts), Go forth making the "Ganges of Love" flow. The author being an eastern mystic means the compassion comes up and the fire or passion takes our prayers or power up (Kundalini Aarohanam), and the actions filled with love flows outwards from the heart (Kundalini Avarohanam). Darkness has spread to the four corners; the traveler (soul) has lost the sense of direction (during dark night of senses, Human has become inhuman; who shall we relate this misery to? Who has fallen, who has risen, He (the Lord Almighty) is integrated into each one, Go forth making earth into heaven, Go forth making the divine "Ganges of Love" flow.

[Divine Souls:4517] Love--Important truth of Life

Dhan Nirankar ji , Saints daasi is sharing few experiences which dassi has gained from few books, novels and some mails of rev.saints.

Love is the most important truth of life and yet has been the least understood.

Before we understand love, we must understand why we came into being. God created
us ("Eko aham bahusyam") because, all alone He could neither love nor be loved. There was so much of that pure joy in Him (Anand in Sachidananda), that He wanted to share it.

But the One appearing as many was basically an untruth, so Maya or delusion had to be created. Like you
cannot create ornaments with pure gold and must add some
copper,God could not have made a creation of dualities with a non-dual Core of His pure consciousness. So there had to be delusion.

So, as 'there was light' and creation was springing forth, God wanted to see if in this cosmic play,we would choose Him and love Him, or we would choose His gifts of dualistic creation and misuse / abuse our separate identity. For this choice to be exercised, He gave us free will and made us in His image, complete and independent in our minds.

Maya or Satan was given a job : to take us away from God, to let the One appear as many ; this was a centrifugal force set in motion. But God didnot want us to go far away and be lost either,so He kept drawing us back - this is a counter-balancing centripetal force. His love is unconditional and constantly though silently, it pulls us back towards Him. Isn't the earth pulled away from and back inwards towards the sun, at the same time, or the electrons away from and towards the nucleus of an atom ? If there was not this balance, the earth would either be flung irretrivably away or sucked into the sun, and be lost in either case ; and so for the electrons orbiting around the nucleus.

God pined and hoped we would love Him back, but most of us chose not to. He had to be a part of the drama, even though inwardly detached, knowing it to be what it was - just a play. The Satan also, being a conscious force, "a liar from the beginning" (since his existence was to make the One appear as many) and wanting to perpetuate his own existence and the tremendous power over us that it implied, overdid his job and rebelled. Wanting to not lose our freedom, we sided with him.

God waits patiently ; He can make and unmake galaxies in a split second, but He wants us to love Him spontaneously, without prompting, without force. No one can be forced to love,after all - not even a baby.

In each soul, being made in the image of God, there is this yearning for love, this desire to share the quiet joy within ; it's a pure feeling. It's love.

But the ego, a micro-cosmic reflection of the macrocosmic Satan that it is, corrupts this pure innate feeling into attachment. Love cannot be attachment ; attachment is an emotion and the natural end of all attachment is its opposite : resentment or repulsion. When we are too attached to a certain sweet, for example, it eventually causes nausea and we don't want to even look at it, let alone eat,any more ; when we are too attached to a person, it ends in disappointment and disillusionment,often
hatred.

Love is not possessive. It wants to give. All it wants in return is true love, but it does not cease even if not reciprocated. A flower does not stop its fragrance if crushed, or discarded, or even trampled. It does not choose who will receive its fragrance ; true love similarly is universal.

When you love truly, you love all. Because God is omnipresent, and true love is Divine.

So, then, is all human love, so contaminated as it is, futile and vain ? No, it is just dross under purification - a necessary part of the process, a base metal being converted into gold by the touch of the Philosospher's Stone that the Guru's loving wisdom is, even much more. The world is a school where, in families and friendships, we learn to purify human love into Love Divine. It does not happen overnight - through pleasure and sorrow, through sharing and quarrelling, through
attachment and aversion, through apparent owning and losing, through indulgence and restraint, ...it gets slowly catalyzed into pure love.

Francis Thompson calls God a 'Hound of Heaven' in his renowned poem by that name . He says God chases us, rather than we chasing Him. We don't need to chase Him, really, He is willing to come running anyways but do we really care for Him even half as much as we care for His many gifts?

He seeks and chases us because He knows what a mess we have landed ourselves through misuse of the free will He gave us, He knows we would never be happy until we loved Him back, so in Francis' poem, God says to us :

'All things betray thee, who betrayest Me !... Not shelters thee who wouldst not shelter Me !'

One may ask, didn't God, being omniscient, know this mess would be there ? Well, it is for Him to answer,but I guess He knew, we would eventually all return to Him and a drama, so sad and poignant in its course, would have a happy ending. For, one in-built good in Satan is that, he never binds us for ever ; a falsehood is falsehood after all and must fail.

So we keep seeking that 'something else' which will make us all happy ; God's love is that something else, my Master says, and for those who have found It, the search is over. and when we love Him, we will love all alike, for He is in us all - equally, no matter what our mistakes !

Every day there are things that come against us, distractions that would try to pull us away from our faith in Sat-Guru. That's why our beloved Sat-Guru said that every day we have to make the choice to follow Him. Sometimes it's easy to think, "Well, I go to congregation regularly" or "I read my Avtar Bani on every Sundays."." But really, the disciple's (Guru-Sikh's) life isn't about how we live on the weekends ; it's how we live every single moment as well as every single day. Are we spending time with Him, daily? Are we reaching out and putting others first, daily? Are we sowing seeds to help those in need, daily?

If you know you need to make some adjustments in your daily walk with Him, the good news is that you can start right now, today. Just simply turn to Him and make the commitment to follow Him moment by moment. Let Him direct your steps and follow that inner prompting of the teachings of our beloved Sat-Guru. Make the choice every day to follow Him and watch what He will do on your behalf!

[Divine Souls:4508] what 23rd february means to me

Whenever 23^rd February approached my body, mind and soul were inundated with thoughts. Birthdays are associated with wishes, cakes and gifts. However for baba ji's birthday all these had a different dimension.

As a child I was perplexed about the concept of celebrating the birthday of the true master who's taken equivalent to god. This doubt was removed with the idea of " guru sharir nahin hota , lekin guru ka sharir hota hai". So the idea of celebrating baba ji s birthday, wishing and cutting cakes was now crystal clear to me. Alongwith that I felt that we celebrate with great zeal the birth anniversaries of our friends and relatives then why not baba ji's birthday with whom we share a unique and special relationship.

However the concept of gifts still confuses me …I cant figure out what to gift baba ji . Will a materialistic gift suffice or make sense? Can or should I gift something to baba ji? Well all I can say is "thank you baba ji for being there!!!" . One thing I know is that I have to take your birthday as guru puja diwas ….- a reminder for me to worship you. Worship by following your words.

Visit to NJ Food Bank - February 20, 2010

With the blessings of His Holiness Satguru Baba Hardev Singh Ji, Sant Nirankari Mission New York Metro Team kick-started the Guru Pooja Diwas celebrations for this year on February 20, 2010 by doing Community Service at the local New Jersey Food Bank located in Hillside, NJ. This was a follow up to the hugely successful food drive and a similar visit for voluntary work last year.

The contact with the NJ Food Bank was made in order to plan for the entire year of voluntary service and despite of best efforts no dates were available till end of March. The persistence of youth volunteers and enthusiasm attracted good attention of the officials and the first available cancellation was allotted to Sant Nirankari Mission. There were about 25 saints that gathered outside the huge warehouse of the NJ Food Bank at 11:15AM. The slot was for two hours from 11:30AM-1:30PM. The task assigned to the NY Metro team was to sort the mailers along with the printed return envelopes to be mailed to thousands of houses in order to make people aware of the activities undertaken by the Food Bank and to gather donations. In conversation with the officials co-ordinating this assignment, it was learnt that making people aware of the activities performed by the Food Bank was an important exercise as it brings lots of monetary donation, which in turn can be directed towards many homeless/foodless people living in the NJ State, to provide them with basic essentials to survive.

To sum it up, it turned out to be an amazing experience for both sides. The NJ Food Bank representative thanked the support and effort of the entire NY Metro Youth team and in turn the mission volunteers were able to imbibe the teachings of Satguru by performing selfless sewa and extending helping hand to provide millions of people with necessary support. The NJ Food Bank was impressed by the discipline, unity and love that was shown by each member while performing the assigned task. As a parting gesture the Youth Volunteers from New York Metro presented a T-Shirt to the NJ Food Bank official over-looking the task. All attending saints proactively vowed to offer themselves for such volunteer service time and again in future even before NJ Foodbank officials implied that they are in greater need of such dedicated service. With the blessings of Satguru Baba Ji, performing such services in the local community is going to be a way forward for SNM NY Metro Team.

Roohaniyat: 2-20-10: Good Morning everyone and welcome to the world of Roohaniyat!

Ruth went to her mailbox and there was only one letter. She picked it up and looked at it before opening, but then she looked at the envelope again. There was no stamp, no postmark, only her name and address.
She read the letter: Dear Ruth: I'm going to be in your neighborhood Saturday afternoon and I'd like to stop by for a visit. Love Always, Jesus
Her hands were shaking as she placed the letter on the table. 'Why would the Lord want to visit me?
I'm nobody special. I don't have anything to offer.'
With that thought, Ruth remembered her empty kitchen cabinets.
'Oh my goodness, I really don't have anything to offer. I'll have to run down to the store and buy something for dinner.'

She reached for her purse and counted out its contents. Five dollars and forty cents!
Well, I can get some bread and cold cuts, at least.' She threw on her coat and hurried out the door.
A loaf of French bread, a half-pound of sliced turkey, and a carton of milk...leaving Ruth with grand total of twelve cents to last her until Monday.
Nonetheless, she felt good as she headed home, her meager offerings tucked under her arm.
'Hey lady, can you help us lady?' Ruth had been so absorbed in her dinner plans; she hadn't even noticed two figures huddled in the alleyway.
A man and a woman, both of them dressed in little more than rags.
'Look lady, I ain't got a job, you know, and my wife and I have been living out here on the street, and, well, now it's getting cold and we're getting kinda hungry and, well, if you could help us. Lady, we'd really appreciate it.'
Ruth looked at them both. They were dirty, they smelled bad and frankly, she was certain that they could get some kind of work if they really wanted to.
'Sir, I'd like to help you, but I'm a poor woman myself. All I have is a few cold cuts and some bread, and I'm having an important guest for dinner and I was planning on serving that to Him.'
'Yeah, well, okay lady, I understand. Thanks anyway.'
The man put his arm around the woman's shoulders, turned and headed back into the alley. As she watched them leave, Ruth felt a familiar twinge in her heart.
'Sir, wait!' The couple stopped and turned as she ran down the alley after them.
'Look! Why don't you take this food? I'll figure out something else to serve my guest.' She handed the man her grocery bag. 'Thank you lady! Thank you very much!'
'Yes, thank you!' It was the man's wife, and Ruth could see now that she was shivering
'you know, I've got another coat at home. Here, why don't you take this one.'
Ruth unbuttoned her jacket and slipped it over the woman's shoulders. Then smiling, she turned and walked back to the street...without her coat and with nothing to serve her guest.
'Thank you lady! Thank you very much!'
Ruth was chilled by the time she reached her front door, and worried too. The Lord was coming to visit and she didn't have anything to offer Him. She fumbled through her purse for the door key. But as she did, she noticed another envelope in her mailbox.
'That's odd. The mailman doesn't usually come twice in one day.' A similar envelope: No stamp!
Dear Ruth: It was so good to see you again. Thank you for the lovely meal. And thank you, too, for the beautiful
coat. Love Always, Jesus
The air was still cold, but even without her coat, Ruth no longer noticed.

We come across situations when the Lord Himself comes to meet us, sometimes in the form of a teller, a cashier, a guest…..you never know in which form. There are other times, when he uses these people as a medium to reach out to us, to give us His message. Most often we overlook these instances as mere coincidences.

We all are human beings first, then, a Hindu, Muslim, Sikh or Christian. Lets all act as Humans first, lets practice humanity at all times because God exists in every human being.

The next time you end up hurting someone's feelings or are cruel to someone, be aware, that God exists in the human being that you just were unkind to.

And remember: Kindness is the language that the dumb can speak, deaf can hear & even blind can see.

While sitting i found one day.. the answers for things like.... whats
the reason....... why there is no love....... why there is no mankind
and why ppl are being away. why there is hatred, why men becomming
sefish ...

distances of places can be covered but how to bridge distances of
hearts.

Got to come accross god laws....SIMPE.... but difficult to
implement...

God himself gave the solution as formless for the same to me as

GOD's LAWS----

(1) TRUST
(2) SURENDER
(3) PATIENCE.
(4) TOLEANCE.
(5) ACCEPTANCE.
(6) FORGIVENESS
(7) LOVE.
(8) MERCY.
(9) MANKIND.
(10) HUMANITY

this is possible only if, one knows god, one trust god.
so by trust on him, one can surrender...and when one surrenders to
god, then what ever is situation-- one is patient..
and then comes stage of tolerance.
Patience is required........ for tolerance

when one is tolerant then only can accept.
when acceptance is there then one can fogive.

if forgiven..... then only one can stay with LOVE
when love is in heart then there will be Mercy, compassion
and then the stage comes for being together
Love for Mankind(living together) for peacefull co-existence

Jivanmukta (from the Sanskrit words jiva and mukti) is someone who, has attained nirvikalpa samadhi - the realization of the Self, Parasiva - and is liberated from rebirth while living in a human body.

Jivanmukta is a unique concept in Hindu philosophy, particularly in the school of philosophy known as advaia. The ultimate goal of Hinduism is liberation from the cycles of re-birth. This liberation is technically called 'moksha'. In all schools of Hindu philosophy except advaita, liberation is necessarily an event beyond the experience of human being. But the advaita school of Shankara envisages that human is already liberated and the soul is already free - one only has only to realize, and to accept, this freedom. Souls who have had this realization are called jivanmuktas.

There are three kinds of Prarabdha karma: Ichha (personally desired), Anichha (without desire) and Parechha(due to others' desire). For a self realized person, a Jivan mukta, there is no Ichha-Prarabdha but the two others, Anichha and Parechha, remain, which even a jivan mukta has to undergo^.

In the sramanic traditions the jivanmukta is called an arhat.

Jivamukti means liberated while still in the body by means of discrimination
Mukti – Moksha means the final liberation and release from karma and the cycle of life and death through the union with God or the knowledge of the ultimate reality.

To get Jeevan Mukti, any saint must become a true devotee (a Gursikh) we all will also need to adopt and preach the principles of this great divine knowledge / Gyan in our daily lives in the same manner as those great saints did and achieved immortality and obtained freedom from this viscous cycle of death and rebirth.

We will never become a true devotee just by listening to their life histories, or just by remembering them on their birth or death anniversaries, we will never be able to improve our lives unless we adopt / implement / preach the principles of this great divine knowledge in our daily lives to such an extent that it becomes a routine habit for us.

Saints our deeds, our karmas only will show how big or small we are and we should never forget the fact while actually doing these good deeds based on principles of great divine knowledge we should never develop an ego that we are doing these deeds in fact saints forget ego das will go one step further to say that we should never even develop a feeling that we are doing these deeds.

In an event we develop such feeling even then these deeds will infact bind us in this vicious circle of "Karm Bandhan" which means that we will have to still live to take fruits of our own actions, it will never lead us to immortality or give us the freedom from this cycle of death and rebirth, it will never give us Jeevan Mukti

Saints even in Bhagwad Gita Lord Krishna has said that to get Mukti we will have to free our selves, burn our Karma at the feet of our True Master, the Satguru and we will have to free our mind from expectation of any result from what ever deeds which we do.

Saints this does not mean that we should not do the deed, yes we have to do the deeds and we always have to remember that we only do such deeds which benefits all concerned and this without a feeling of doer ship and without an expectation of result. This way of living our life will only enable us to achieve Jeevan Mukti.

Saints in fact we all should remember the first oath which we all took at the time of taking this great divine knowledge, the Gyan as per which our mind, our body and our wealth we bestowed at feet of our Satguru our True Master our Nirankar. Saints we should cultivate the habit of remembering that our mind our intelligence is not ours and gradually over a period of time we all will be able to control our mind.

Saints once we are able to control our mind then only we will actually be able to adopt, preach and implement the principles of this great divine knowledge in our daily lives
