Doership leads to suffocation, misery and guilt. Know that when you are natural and in surrender, doership dissolves automatically. You surrender only that which has happened, which is past. Future is anyways out of your control. We burden the mind with the memories of the past. Let go of the event which has gone and left its shadow, impression in the consciousness. What else can you surrender? Money, etc already belong to the Divine. Surrendering doership, 'mine', 'me' is surrender...

‘Request of GOD’/’Prabhu ka Nivedan’ – “Do You Remember?”

When you woke up today, I saw you and hoped that you will certainly talk to me if only two words though, but you were busy in choosing clothes for the day. I only kept waiting. When you were getting ready from here and there, I felt that you will remember me with a lovingly smile but you could not get two seconds for me out of the normal chores of life.

Once you had 15 minutes of free time, when you were sitting idly on the chair and had nothing to do. You stood up all of a sudden and I thought that you are surely coming towards me but you went to the phone for chatting with friends, while I kept on looking you. This was your morning, where your engagements did not give you enough time to have a word with me.

I now observed in the noon if you might be looking for me? You forgot me this time too. Your friends however invited me before their lunch but you were still busy with your friends. There was still half the day left and I again hoped that you would certainly remember me once.

After winding up all the tasks you started watching T.V. in the evening. I was wondering if you like T.V. as you spend most of the time watching it.

Its night by now and you are done with your dinner. Being too tired, you greeted ‘good night’ to the family and went to bed and were asleep within seconds!!

All this made me thought – “Is it Okay that you are not even bothered that I am always with you?

You cannot imagine the patience I have. You should also treat everybody with the same patience. So much I love you that I wait for your ‘One Prayer’, ‘One Thanks’, ‘One Gesture’…thirstily, but you do not think of me even once.

You are about to wake up now. Once again I shall wait for you with all of my love, only with the hope, that you would be able to find out a ‘moment’ for me today…

Fogiveness?Do we practice it?

Jesus is considered by many to have demonstrated the ultimate in forgiveness, when on the cross he said:

"Father, Forgive them for they know not what they do."

Saints, it is difficult to do it. But it works as there are role models, around us who have practiced it.Ican recall my learning experience of sharing views about Forgiveness with Rev Bekalji.He said, '' We need forgiveness as much as the person who has wronged us. It is challenging and is hard to let go of what happened, but saint grows spiritually by forgiving others.Every saint can be and must be an agent of personal development and social transformation.Perhaps , we all need forgiveness". The Forgiveness, a healing process, releases positive energy.

Saints, Life is very short, we never know, what happens in the second moment.Let's try to learn the act of humility to understand the forgiveness.This Christmas and the coming New Year reminds us to practice these virtues.

What a wonderful model His Holiness is for all of us!!!!!

Good Morning everyone and we hope you all had a Lovely Xmas!!!

Once there were three trees on a hill in the woods. They were discussing their hopes and dreams when the first tree said, "Someday I hope to be a treasure chest. I could be filled with gold, silver and precious gems. I could be decorated with intricate carving and everyone would see the beauty."

Then the second tree said, "Someday I will be a mighty ship. I will take kings and queens across the waters and sail to the corners of the world. Everyone will feel safe in me because of the strength of my hull."

Finally the third tree said, "I want to grow to be the tallest and straightest tree in the forest. People will see me on top of the hill and look up to my branches, and think of the heavens and God and how close to them I am reaching. I will be the greatest tree of all time and people will always remember me."

After a few years of praying that their dreams would come true, a group of woodsmen came upon the trees. When one came to the first tree he said, "This looks like a strong tree, I think I should be able to sell the wood to a carpenter" ... and he began cutting it down. The tree was happy, because he knew that the carpenter would make him into a treasure chest.

At the second tree a woodsman said, "This looks like a strong tree, I should be able to sell it to the shipyard." The second tree was happy because he knew he was on his way to becoming a mighty ship.

When the woodsmen came upon the third tree, the tree was frightened because he knew that if they cut him down his dreams would not come true. One of the woodsmen said, "I don't need anything special from my tree so I'll take this one", and he cut it down.

When the first tree arrived at the carpenters, he was made into a feed box for animals. He was then placed in a barn and filled with hay. This was not at all what he had prayed for. The second tree was cut and made into a small fishing boat. His dreams of being a mighty ship and carrying kings had come to an end. The third tree was cut into large pieces and left alone in the dark. The years went by, and the trees forgot about their dreams.

Then one day, a man and woman came to the barn. She gave birth and they placed the baby in the hay in the feed box that was made from the first tree. The man wished that he could have made a crib for the baby, but this manger would have to do. The tree could feel the importance of this event and knew that it had held the greatest treasure of all time. Because it was later revealed that this baby was not an ordinary baby, but the prophet of those times.

Years later, a group of men got in the fishing boat made from the second tree. One of them was tired and went to sleep. While they were out on the water, a great storm arose and the tree didn't think it was strong enough to keep the men safe. The men woke up the sleeping man, and he stood up and said "Peace" and the storm stopped. At this time, the tree knew that it had carried the King of Kings in its boat, because he was the prophet of those times.

Finally, someone came and got the third tree. It was carried through the streets as the people mocked the man who was carrying it. When they came to a stop, the man was nailed to the tree and raised in the air to die at the top of a hill. When Sunday came, the tree came to realize that it was strong enough to stand at the top of the hill and be as close to God as was possible, because the prophet of those times: Jesus had been crucified on it.

The moral of this story is that when things don't seem to be going your way, always know that God has a plan for you. If you place your trust in Him, He will give you great gifts. Each of the trees got what they wanted, just not in the way they had imagined. We don't always know what God's plans are for us. We just know that His ways are not our ways, but His ways are always best.

It is a matter of surrendering ourselves to GOD and believing that what He does for us will be best. It is a matter of us entrusting our lives to HIM. We must always pray to HIM saying : Dear GOD please be with me every single moment of my life, hold my hand and lead me. Let every single moment of my life be as per THY will and not as per MY will because you know me better than I know myself. You know what's best for me, better than I know what is good for me. Dear One and only one Almighty one, I surrender myself to thee, please forgive me and bless me.

Remember: God answers prayers in three ways: He will either say YES and will give you what you want. Or, He will say NO, and He will give you BETTER! Or, He will tell you to WAIT, and He will give you the BEST.

God has editing rights over our prayers. He will...edit them, correct them, bring them in line with His will and then hand them back to us to be resubmitted."

For centuries, society has been slowly drifting down a broad river of change, but speed is picking up, and we have now entered the rapids. Even Christmas is not immune to these changes. It has become just a "holiday" to the world—and, sadly, even to many true believers.

"Merry Christmas" has been replaced by "Happy Holidays," and carols about Jesus have been traded for songs celebrating Santa Claus, winter, family, and friends. Finding Christ-centered Christmas cards has become a challenge. Snowmen and sleighs have taken the place of manger scenes, which were once common in both private and public settings.

This slide away from real worship of God is the natural progression of the world, but it is not the direction that believers should go. Drifting is easy: you just relax and follow the path of least resistance. But going against the stream requires constant awareness and diligent effort. We must actively guard against letting the world steal real God worship from our celebrations.

Christmas is not just a HOLIDAY; it is a HOLY DAY—the day God came to earth in the flesh of a tiny baby for the purpose of reconciling sinful mankind to Him. Holidays are numerous, but there is only one HOLY DAY (Christmas.

The world tries hard to find pleasure in God-less holiday observances, but happiness is often elusive when experiences don't match expectations. If you feel a sense of letdown, you may have drifted away from an authentic celebration of Christmas. Allow Sat-Guru and God back in, and joy will return.

A spiritually enlightened person realise God all pervading and omnipresent, with the benevolence of the divine master. He then rises above all misapprehensions. He does not fall prey to superstition; he is never a victim of blind faith. He does not stop if a cat cuts across his way or somebody sneezes. All these are the signs of being ignorant, being unsaintly. Blind faith breeds from misapprehensions, from not knowing the truth. A young lady got married and came to the house of her in-laws for the first time. She found that her mother-in-law had put a basket over a cat. In fact the cat had come there by chance and the basket had been placed to stop it from spoiling the sweets etc. The bride, of course, saw the mother in-law doing this. Time passed and the bride had her own children. When her son got married and the bride began to enter the house, she asked the servant to bring a cat. A cat was brought as also a basket. The cat was covered with the basket. The woman had only seen her mother-in-law doing this and she took it as an essential ceremony for the wedding. She thought that it was essential to call for a cat and cover it with a basket at the time of the bride's entering the house of her in-laws. Only then wedding ceremonies would be complete.

This was ignorance. Because of ignorance the woman started doing whatever she saw being done by her mother-in-law. In fact her mother-in-law had covered the cat with a basket only because it was creating disturbance. We find such ignorance all around. Unsaintly people get stuck up in such superstitious activities. Saintly people, however, do not indulge in such things at all. All their misapprehensions end with the knowing of God and their devotion to this Nirankar. A person who is blessed by Satguru and realises God Nirankar, attains communion with the Almighty, he in fact leads an enlightened life. He pursues the path of selfless service through body, intellect and his material assets. Even this earth feels purified by the touch of the feet of such noble persons..

[Divine Souls:4336] Divine Virtues

Discourses of His Holiness Satguru Baba Hardev Singh Ji Maharaj- STREAM OF THOUGHTS –Part III

The saintly persons are virtuous because they are always aligned with the divine source of virtues, the Almighty. That is why they are always happy. On the other hand, the unsaintly persons are not even aware of the truth. So there is nothing unusual when they make mis- takes. For example, a man was jumping into the river again and again. Someone asked him the reason. He said, "I am searching for a necklace. Look, there it is in the water. I want to take it out. The problem is that when I am outside the water, I can see the necklace. But when I jump into it, I just cannot find anything. It is really baffling. I have been trying to get at the necklace for quite some time (but in vain) ." Hearing this, the other man said, "Brother! Look over your head there." He looked and found that the necklace was hanging on a branch of a tree over his head. What he saw into the water was only its reflection. While the necklace in fact was hanging on the branch of a tree, he was searching for it below (in the water). that is why saints point out: VASTU KAHIN, DHUNDAT KAHIN

It means the thing is somewhere else, while it is being searched for somewhere else. The source of happiness is the Almighty. But man is searching for the same (happiness) in worldly objects, which are only a reflection. The deer looks for the musk in the bushes whereas it exists within its body. A saintly person knows as to who is the ocean of happiness, where it is. That is why he is always content, fully satisfied. An unsaintly person does not know this. That is why he is baffled. No doubt he is familiar with the names used for God, he does not know what exactly they mean. There are many names used for this Almighty. Somewhere it is Allah, somewhere else it is Ram. Similarly, at places it is called Waheguru and elsewhere it is described as God , Nirankar etc. A Gurumukh does not enter into the controversy of names. He goes after the object, the truth, for which these names stand. Spiritual masters point out: JIS VAKHAR KO LEN TU AYA,

They refer here to the object (Vakhar) and not to the name (Akhar). It has also been stated clearly that one need not wander in remote lonely places in search of this divine object- KAHE RE BAN KHOJAN JAYEE, SARAV NIWASI SADA ALEPA, TOHE SANG SAMAYEE.

When we are serious about prayer, our intimacy with the Lord begins to grow. We come to know God better, the more we listen and speak with Him, and as that happens, we start to view the world from a divine perspective. The things that matter to God will become our concerns as well, and our prayers will increasingly reflect His interests. Experiencing answered prayer will encourage us and grow our faith.

Over time, the discipline of prayer should begin to have a purifying effect upon us. The teachings of our Sat-Guru works God's truth deep into our hearts as we allow regular study of the teachings of our beloved Sat-Guru and Scripture to fuel our communion with Him. Consistent exposure to the Word will reveal personal areas of ungodliness, and the teachings of our beloved Sat-Guru will give us power to change. What's more, we will learn to recognize where God wants us to become involved and how to invest our time, finances, and spiritual gifts in His work. Through prayer, we will also receive divine peace--even when circumstances worsen or remain unchanged.

The benefits of prayer are many, but greatest of all is the joy derived from spending more time with the Lord.

The saint who is true bestows one with spiritual enlightenment.
The True Saint is a vast ocean which is fathomless and knows no bounds;
True True saint has the glory which is beyond description.
The True Saint's true glory has been narrated by saints as such;
