It is a strange paradox that both Nirankar(God) and Satguru work in a
clandastine manner but their presence is manifest to a discerning devotee.
God's Creation is perceived through our senses, but the creator is invisible .
Similarly Satguru and His Sangat is visible but divinity of Satguru is revealed
to only a few chosen ones. . Otherwise he appears at best as a noble human
being to an ordibnary beholder. Every visible event in this universe appears
to be designed by a master_craftman but his hand remains hidden and invisble .
There is an unending series of cause and effect which scientists love to explore
and take credit for its discovery and patent the same to their name . Even stars
are named after scientists who first happen to see them with their telescope. No one bothers to know about the original maker viz God. .
In a similar manner we discover every day that devotees of Babaji seek
blessings of Satguru for Mundane matters. Many a times such boons are
granted but cause and effect phenomenon is also present side by side. So the
event can be explained away in an ordinary manner. Many patients suffering
from incurable diseases get cured through the cause and effect of a doctor and
hospital but blessings of the Satguru is manifest to believing devotees but to
doubting thomases, it is an ordinary event .
The Children of devotees do very well in life and in the competitive world but
their success can also be attributed to their intelligence and hard work. So
Satguru and Nirankar continuously present a picture of their non-involvement .
At no stage they give a positive proof of their existence as a seperate entity
thus leaving the human mind in a dilemma. But there is difference between
Satguru and Nirankar. Nirankar is alway bound by various laws originally
made by Him at the birth of creation. But Satguru sometimes crosses this line. That is why there is a history of miracles. The following line in Gurbani proves my point "
"Karta Kare Na kar Sake Guru Kare so Hoe" This means that Satguru can
perform what in human parlance are called miracles. One such example is use
of Charanamrit by Nirankari saints. . Charanamrit as the name suggest is
nothing butt water made from foot-wash of Satguru or fellow saints. .
It appears to work wonders for the believers. It cures incurable diseases. .
It secures success in examination for children. . It ensures a peaceful and
safe journey by various means. In other words it leaves human logic far
behind and achieves the desired results for the devotees.. To a quote a real
life example , two saints approached Babaji for getting relief from
long and chronic malady.. One was advised to seek treatment from
a renowned doctor. .The other was asked to partake Charanamrit .
An outside observer who was new to the mission could not help
wondering at this diverse advice of Babaji in similar circumstances.
. Later he expressed his perplexity to Babaji but was satisfied at latter's reply.
Babaji informed him that both these saint were his old devotees and he was
aware of their background. In one case the devotee was very rich and could
afford any type of treatment but he failed to get cured so far. In the second
case the devotee was very poor and could not afford any expenses..
The former had asked advice about a good doctor and the latter only
prayed to be rid of the disease.. Therefor the diverse advice to both saints.
. In an another example, an organizer of a Samgam( cogregation) sought the
blessings of Babji for a non-rainy day on the date fixed for Smagam. during
Monsoon. Babji just smiled. as is the practice with him. On the day of
Smagam , it started raining heavily. The organizer was very upset and later
complained to Babjaji for non-acceptance of his wish. Babji saw the umbrella
in the hand of devotee and ponited out to him that the latter never fully
believed that his prayer would be granted. . There are many examples
of unexplainable events in the life of saints.. To day we are unwilling to
accept such stories at their face value. But such events have been fully
documented in scriptures of various faiths and religions. Normally perfect
masters works within natural laws and does not interfere in divine destiny.
This is proven from tortures and presecutions suffered by various masters
at the hand of tyrants. But sometimes to re-establish the faith of their devotees
, there is no option but to over-ride natural laws in favour of what are called
miracles. There are many stories to support this phenomenon. The life Prahlad
and Saint Namdev are recorded events of history. In case of Namdev ,
a dead cow was revived by God to meet demand of the then ruler to
spare life of Namdev. Baba Gurbachan Singh who was like God to his
devotees did not save his life from the bullet of assasin to fulfil the destiny
set by Nirankar..
The divinity of Satguru is specially manifest in Samagams or Nirankari
Congregations. In the annual Smagam lasting for almost a week, everythings
seems to work out perfectly even though following parameters are
indeterminate:-
(a) The no of participants
( b) The no of vehicles arriving to make parking arrangements
(c) The actual stay of devotees. Many arrive very early and
stay on well beyond the Smagam.
(d) The funds available are purely dependent on donations of saints
(e) All work is done by volunteers. There is no compulsion on
hours of work as also the no of days for which the volunteer will render
service or Sewa.
With these and many more variable factors ; it is really a great miracle that
everything goes off very smoothly . In the end every one offers thanksgiving
to Satguru for successful completion of Samagam. Even the government
agencies are puzzled since many functions planned by them with all the
resources at their command seldom pass off peacefully and without some
hitch . The stampede at KUMBH MELA and at recent rally in LUCKNOW
are worth considering.
In the end I would conclude that spirtuality and divinity lies in the
eyes of a devotee. The ordinary person is willing to go along with cause and
effect but failing to reach the ultimate cause of all causes viz GOD or
Nirankar.
