THOU FORMLESS ONE [115]
O' man, the wealth will not go with you when you will depart from this world at last;
The world which you love so much will be of no avail at the end.
The family, the clan, the wife, the son and the companions;
Why do you take them as yours in vain, none of them is your real relation.
Even if you are a rural and have plenty of wealth;
Even if you have all the luxuries of life, these will not get you the liberation (of soul).
You may ride an elephant, a horse or a car;
All this creation (Maya) is a delusion and the entire structure of the world is a falsehood.
The unwise, who will forget this benevolent lord (God);
Avtar says, bereft of Divine Name, he shall repent at last.

In Dunia ton akhar vele, daulat sang na jaegi;
Ji sdunia nal preetan paian, akhar kamm na aegi.
Kutamb kabila hai jan beevi, jan beta jan sathi ey;
Kion banana eyn malak aiven, ik na tera nati ey.
Raj hakoomat vi ey jekar, dhan daulat vi bhara ey;
Sare aish milan je tainoon, tan vi na chhutkara ey.
Hathi ey jan ghoda ey jan, motor di aswari ey;
Jhootho jhooth bani sabh maya, Jhootho jhooth usari ey.
Jo moorakh is bakhshish wale, date tain bhulaega;
Kahe Avtar oh nam ton vanjha akhar noon pachhtaega.
