The word kismet derives from the Arabic word qismah, meaning either "the will of Allah" or "portion, lot or fate". In English, the word is synonymous with fate or destiny.when written in English in the Indian sub-continent is spelled kismat.
Luck or fortuity is a belief in good or bad fortune in life caused by accident or chance, and attributed by some to reasons of faith or superstition, which happens beyond a person's control.
