Luck or Destiny was the topic of EMS, Gurgaon on July 9, 2009. Sharing the compilation from the thoughts expressed in congregation
Meaning:
1. Luck is a chance happening, or that which happens beyond a person's control. Luck can be good or bad.
2. An unknown and unpredictable phenomenon that causes an event to result one way rather than another
Thoughts from Congregation:
- As you Sow, so shall you reap
- No one can escape the results of an action (Karma)
- God is a system of Perfect Justice.
- BUT, the True Master is kind hearted - forgives the wrong doings.
- That's why importance of True Master -
बलिहारी गुरु आपणे, जिन गोविन्द दियो दिखाय ।।
- Bhagvad Gita mentions that the family, place & time of birth is fixed, depending upon the Karma's of the past.
- Karma is in our hands, Good actions => Good Destiny, Pray that our actions be good.
- If our thoughts are good, our action will also be good AND if our actions are good our luck will be good

- Even If something happens in the galaxy → Effect on us
- But this Nirankar around us acts like Laxman Rekha
- We are protected/shielded as long as we are within this Laxman Rekha. No impact on us (like Ravana could not cross the Laxman Rekha) ... but if we cross the boundary (forget the Nirankar) then we will have to suffer
- Hindi Meaning किस्मत = किस + मत (किस की मत - whose advice)
- Your Luck depends upon whose/what advice you take
- If Gurmat, your Luck will be good
- If Manmat, your Luck will be bad
