On February 04, 2010 a congregation was organized at Rangachalu Memorial Hall in the beautiful and historical city of Mysore (Karnataka). Blessing the congregation His Holiness Baba Hardev Singh Ji Maharaj stated:
"By adopting the true words of saints in life, man becomes truly rich. The message of saints given in every age is being repeated once again today. All the saints and sages told man what is it that he should base his life upon. All of them asked man to adopt such worlds in his life as help him in his ultimate welfare.
All such words as based upon Truth, love, compassion, humility and other such human virtues help man in his welfare. Such words are extremely precious. Saints have always inspired man to make his life beautiful by adopting such virtues in his life. In every age such a message has been given to man. Though given in different languages from time to time, yet the message essentially remained one. The message told man what is it that he should make the basis of his life. It is man himself who has to think and choose for himself; if he follows the instructions given by saints and sages, man's job becomes easier.
But it is so ironical that man keeps saints' words and message limited to only its reading and recitation; he does not move his footsteps in the direction of doing the task which saints asked him to do. Saints gave their message so that man would adopt and tread upon them; whosoever did that, attained his welfare.
Human birth is a golden opportunity which God bestows upon man to Realize the Supreme Lord during his human life and make a true success of it. There is immense diversity in the world; despite the diversity of caste, creed, culture, language, color, civilization, eating and clothing habits, this Truth this Supreme Lord is only One. Every object in the world changes yet this Supreme Entity is beyond change; it is unchangeable Supreme Power.
It is because of the Creator that the creation exists. Just as waves have no existence without sea and the rays have no existence without Sun, similarly this world cannot even be imagined without this Supreme Lord! It is because of the painter that the painting exists; a song cannot be imagined without a singer; similarly it is because of this Supreme Lord that the creation exist. It is because of ignorance that man gropes in darkness. Men in the world discriminate on account of innumerable reasons because they do not know that all are the children of one God; the moment man comes to know God, he does not discriminate anywhere as he sees the presence of All Pervasive Supreme Lord in all. Unless man attains the knowledge of God, his soul gropes in the darkness of ignorance and remains bound by life and death.
Lord Jesus Christ asked man to 'Know God Ye Worship'. Of course it is praiseworthy if man worships God yet man should also Know it. All the saints taught man to 'love all and hate none' – to not to hate anyone on the basis of caste, creed, culture, language, color etc. It is not God but man who has created innumerable walls on account of innumerable reasons. The walls of Berlin which divided Germany, was created by man and was in existence as long as there was hatred; the moment the wall within the mind of inhabitants fell, the outer wall was also brought down. In other words, it is the walls within man's mind which is the cause for the walls outside in the world. Illumination of mind leads of bringing down the walls in the world.
Today there is a need for universal oneness; all should live with the feelings of love, unity and brotherhood so that there is peace in the world; only then can the atmosphere of the world be peaceful. By living a life imbibed with negative feelings, man will only move ahead on the path of destruction; it will not lead to anyone's welfare. By holding burning embers in one's hand, one will first burn one's hands and then harm others! Saints have always taught man to live an illumined life with the Illumination of God-knowledge and make an effort to give peace and happiness to others.
Only the one who is himself treading the true path can help others to tread a true path. God has gifted man with the power to think and analyse; though some other species also have some limited thinking yet man alone has the power to think and discriminate. Its is man's fully when he does not use this power to think gifted to him. It is ironical that the man who guides the missiles is himself misguided! Today it is needed that man should adopt noble virtues and feelings and make his life beautiful.
