Dear Saint,

Concentration means different things to different people. In hatha yoga we refer to them as  Dharna and Dhyan.The word Dharana means making an object as a the sole thought  of the mind . Obviously this is not practical for a house holder to always concentrate on Satguru.  as we have various chores to perform.. Dhyan on the other hand refers to awareness. If you have been doing simran for sometime , it becomes automatic no matter how  absorbed you are in worldly chores. We usually give the example of a mother whose Dhyan is always withe child no matter how busy she is with household work. So if your simran is going on continuously , you will always will be aware of Nirnakar and Satguru.
