By mere utterance of the word 'soap', not a single garment is washed;
By throwing out darkness for millions years, never the light can appear.
By repeatedly reading the prescription, the disease cannot be cured;
By repeated utterances of the word 'gold'. one cannot earn a single penny.
By repeated utterances of the word 'bread' one's hunger can never be satiated;
By mere talk of happiness, no suffering can ever be eliminated.
One reaches the destination in a moment, if he recognizes the same.
One cannot find the way to reach the Omnipresent unless he recognises Him;
But the one who knows God, can redeem even a sinner.
The one who merely tells the methods of realizing God, and does not reveal Him;
He is not a true saint, and none can get salvation from him.
He is the perfect True Master, who reveals God face to face;
Avtar says, except the perfect True Master everyone I saw was imperfect.

Moohon saban saban kehnda kapda ik vi dhonda nahin;
Lakhan sal hanera dhoian kade chanana honda nahin.
Nuskha padhiey bar bar je rog kadi nahin hat sakda;
Sona sona kah ke koi kaudi ik nahin khat sakda.

Chhin vich pujdai manzal te jo manzal di pehchan kare.
Rasta nahin pehchan bina milne da sarb viapi noon;
Aipar isnoon janan wala taar vi sakda papi noon.
Rab milan de sadhan dasse jo pehchan karanda nahin;
Oh sadhu jan sant nahin koi us ton mukti panda nahin.
Jo partakh dikhave ran noon oho murshad poora ey;
Kahe Avtar guru poore bin jo takia so oora ey.
