[Divine Souls:3839] Thought of the day

Constant kindness can accomplish much. As the sun makes ice melt, kindness causes misunderstanding, mistrust, and hostility to evaporate.

[Divine Souls:3838] Avtar Bani Verse 17

THOU FORMLESS ONE [17]

One cannot encompass the greatness of God, in spite of countless efforts;

It is beyond the reach of human intellect to comprehend all that He has created

Who can count the countless (forms of the Formless) and write down the number?

How can one measure the immeasurable?

The glory of the Almighty cannot be scribed by the pen, it cannot be described by the tongue;

Avtar says, none except the True Master can reveal the divine secret

EK TU HI NIRANKAR [17]

[Divine Souls:3837] HOW TO SPEAK THE TRUTH

DNG.

Rev. Saints, Vedas say,"Speak the truth, but speak sweetly".  Here is a nice story forwarded by a friend.  Pse read on.............................

This story was heard in DD Pothigai in Tamil which I wish to share.

There was a benevolent king and as normal human he had weakness for astrologers and their sooth saying. In the kingdom there was a good Brahmin highly learned in astrology and had mastered the subject of different ancient masters in the subject. But he normally does not predict for others. Hearing of his depth of knowledge, the king called him to palace. He was offered a good place to stay in and extended all the facilities. The king gave a copy of his horoscope and asked him to review and tell him the findings.

On the review it was clear to the Brahmin that the king shall loose all his close relatives and friends and shall be lonely during his last days. As the Brahmin is determined to tell the truth always he bluntly told the truth. "Oh, My Respectful King you are destined to loose all your close relatives and friends and shall be lonely during your last days". These words angered the king who immediately ordered him to go out of his kingdom. The Brahmin was very much upset.

Taking pity on him the minister asked him why he predicted so. He replied that I have followed the Dictum of Vedas- "Satayam Vadha" "TELL TRUTH". He advised the Brahmin to follow the orders of the king and present himself after about a year growing beard and with some facial lift. He may then offer to predict again. But the Brahmin insisted to tell the truth only then too. To that the minister brought forth another dictum of Vedas- Jigwah madu mathhthama"- LET MY TONGUE BE HONEYED".

The Brahmin reappeared after a long time and as advised by the minister with the facial lift and beard etc not easily recognizable. He offered king to give astrological counsel, to which the king readily agreed.

The Brahmin exclaimed "Oh, My Respectful King, you have a very long life, and till your end you shall be a prosperous king. Your life time is so long you shall out live all you close relatives and friends."

This pleased the king greatly who awarded him generously and honored him.

After all the predictions were same but put up so beautifully, and coated with honey.

Hence we pray "LET THE TONGUE BE HONEYED"

[Divine Souls:3835] Discourse of HH Baba ji on 3-5-09(Sunday)

Matter being talked about is our unity with God Formless(Nirankar) at all times.
In case we are loose in this bond at any point of time, the world is so effective to take its place and once it finds a place in our mind, it will over power us and our relation with God. We can always remember the one whom we love, without making any efforts even in worldly relations. So we can always remember God if we love Him.

God knowledge is Safe and Secure by its use in day-to-day life. Its use makes Life blissful and those who come in contact with a person united with God are benefited with love, solace and bliss.

Life becomes meaningful, purposeful and significant in uniting with God

Regards
(Poonam)

[Divine Souls:3834] Simple rules to be happy

Dear Saints,

Dhan Nirankar Ji.

Das would like to share with you all Saints some facts:

Everyone dreams of a life which is full of peace and joy. But how can we attain that?  a few simple, yet effective ways to a happy life

I have a friend who was taken to hospital because he was suffering from chronic depression. I was surprised to know that medical doctors now also have classified "mental diseases". And a little research showed that lack of happiness created a state of "mental illness" whether it is called as depression, panic attacks, anxiety or acute nervousness.

The problem is that we have complicated our attitude towards life and living to the point that our own lives have gone out of our control. And after having complicated our lives, the mistake that we make is that we expect a complicated solution to straighten out the problem. And just the reverse is true. Problems occur when we deviate from simplicity and complicate communication. Being happy is so simple, that many people find it difficult to practice. I live my life by these simple rules and often people compliment me with a question, "How do you stay so happy?"

1. Tell the truth: To tell the truth is the mark of a person with character. In today's professional warfare, twisting the truth has become a norm. Trust is lacking in personal and professional relationships. People are not honest about their feelings, their agendas and their intentions, for the fear of being rejected or judged. Being rejected and judged on the truth is far better than living a lie. Aspire to be honest no matter what the consequences. You will be happier and abundant in all that counts.

2. Appreciate goodness: Some of us rank first in the queue of criticism and in the same breath; we are the last to appreciate. Remember this that whatever you appreciate will grow in your experience. When you compliment and appreciate someone, they will always return your gesture. Appreciation like any other outflow of emotion and it has a boomerang effect; it comes back to you multiplied. Give genuine appreciation and you will be richly rewarded with more.

3. Don't do to others that you would not have others do to you: Often I have seen people put others down on one pretext or another. The person who puts others down is far unhappier than the person belittled. Measure every action by the rule, "Would I have this done to me?" If your answer is no, don't do it. Always treat people with the grace and dignity they deserve even if your opinion about them is otherwise. When you treat people a certain way, indirectly you are sending out the message of how you should be treated. Treat people with respect, no matter what your opinion.

4. Take care of yourself: Some people look after their cars better than they look after their own bodies. I sincerely believe that someone who is not interested in looking after himself is a disaster waiting to happen. The ultimate disrespect one can bear upon oneself is not to consider oneself worthy enough of being treated well. You can't complain when others don't treat you well, if you can't do that for yourself. Treat yourself with love, and you will find yourself in a zone of pure happiness.

5. be competent: The greatest joy one gets is out of his own competence and accomplishments. Competent people have higher self esteem and self worth. They consider themselves capable of adding value and that increases their happiness quotient. Be competent in your field of endeavor.

6. Have the attitude of gratitude: Gratefulness is the key to greatness. It puts you in a state of acceptance and tolerance. You can't be grateful and not be happy. Gratitude is the most gracious path to happiness. Be grateful for all that you have, and when you are grateful for that, you will never be in a position of lack.

7. Set a good example: The highest form of living is by setting a good example. No matter who you are, how small or big, there is always someone watching you and emulating you. And if you have children, then the responsibility of setting a good example is far greater. When you direct your life consciously towards setting a good example, you can never go wrong .Life is beautiful and the keys to happiness are simple. In fact, unhappiness is a clue that we have deviated from fairness, honesty and compromised on our integrity. The slightest pinch of negativity should direct us towards the simple rules of being happy.

Life is worth living if you allow yourself to be happy. It's easy. Be happy. Be Positive…

It works…………………

Humbly

Anuj
